Pioneer Principal Message
MRS. IFFAT ALMAS FOUNDER PRINCIPAL
Mrs. Iffat Almas was appointed Principal, University Model School, University of Peshawar in 1955 & she held this position till 1989. During her long & meritorious services to the institution she took keen interest in the development of the school & in achieving high standard of education in the school. The school building from a four rooms building was raised to a 22 class’s room building with one laboratory, one library, and one big hall. This was achieved by her continuous efforts by getting grants from Provincial Govt. & Private sectors. Mrs. Iffat Almas played a very important role in establishing the school on a sound footing & making it the most prestigious institution of NWFP, by showing excellent results in BISE, Peshawar. She served the school as a principal for more than 34 years. It can aptly be said that University Model School was her gift to the people of Peshawar and NWFP for which she will be long remembered.
