UMS Co-Curriculum
The school is said to be a community within a community. The school does not remain isolated from every life as a collection of classes. It has come to be social community of students, teachers and parents whose main concern is not only to cater the educational requirements of the students but also for the cultural, emotional and social growth. The emphasis on such activities is to prepare a K.G student to be a good citizen of Pakistan. For this purpose we have four student’s “Houses” from K.G to class X with mottos and colours of their own.
It is the need of the time to entertain the students through certain events, so that they could revive their energies for learning. In this context, fun fair is organized . Students had a great fun at the carnival. Variety show, different stalls and game shows are organized to entertain the students.
It is one of the golden traditions of University Model School to award the distinguished students with trophies, medals, certificates every year. In this respect , separate annual days of junior and senior sections are yearly organized and students are awarded for their curricular & co-curricular performance.
Encouragement and appreciation are the main incentives for the learners to progress more. It’s an open secret that discouragement and unnecessary restrictions means a fatal below to the inquisitive nature of Science and Arts. Science and Arts both are dynamic processes, the more one practices, the better will be the outcome of the experiment. Healthy competitions and appreciations are like the two sides of a coin, both are part and parcel for the development of the curious nature of science and Arts. Keeping this in mind, to stimulate the students in a positive manner and to keep alive, the spirit of competition among the pupils, rooms are named “Science Exhibition Room, Art & Craft Exhibition Room, for the display of Art and Craft Models, charts related to Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
The expert teachers and the Principal herself guides the pupils. The best modals and charts are displayed to appreciate and encourage the students.
According to Aristotle, “Education is the development of a sound mind in a sound body”. It is abvious that the sound body is essential for the sound mind. For a healthy person, exercise is must, expecially for the growing children exercise is inevitable for their better physical and mental growth. The sports facilities are available in school which provides the opportunity for students to participate in physical activity to achieve a healthier lifestyle, to develop new skills and to improve their sporting talent.
Every year Jashin-ie Quran and Eid-Milad-un-Nabi is celebrated with great inspiration and respect during the holy months of Ramadan & Rabi Ul Awal. Both teachers and students are awarded with copies of Holy Quran.
One of the basic objectives of education is the provision of disciplined citizens to the county. In this connection, inter – houses competitions are organized and held. It contained Qirat, Naat, National Songs, Debates(English, Urdu & Pashto). The fresh and dry flowers arrangement competition, English, Urdu writing competition & Card Competition.
